Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Applicable to digital publications and AAP subscriptions.

Effective date: 12 August 2026

The OUBAS Institute sells digital publications (eBooks) and annual subscriptions to the Amalgamated African Professionals (AAP). Pay by EFT is currently available. Additional approved payment gateways may be offered when activated. Access is released after payment confirmation. This policy explains delivery, refunds and cancellations.

Seller details

The supplier is Ephraim Mbuso Dlamini, trading as OUBAS Institute, a sole proprietorship based in Johannesburg, Republic of South Africa, at 30 Springhill Road, River Club Ext 24, Sandton, Johannesburg, Gauteng 2191, Republic of South Africa. Customer support is available at enquiries@oubas.press or +27 82 606 0492.

Delivery

All products are digital. On successful payment, access is granted immediately: eBooks become downloadable and readable from the Bookstore, and subscription benefits (including the digital subscription certificate) activate on your subscriber portal. A receipt and, where requested, a formal invoice are emailed to the address supplied at checkout.

Refunds on digital books

Because eBooks are delivered instantly and cannot be returned, sales are final once the file has been downloaded or opened in the reader. A full refund will nevertheless be granted, within 14 days of purchase, where: the file was never downloaded or opened; the wrong title or language edition was delivered; the file is corrupt or cannot be opened and we are unable to remedy this; or the purchase was duplicated in error.

Refunds on AAP subscriptions

Subscription fees may be refunded in full if cancellation is requested within 14 days of payment and no subscription certificate has been issued and no subscriber-only Corner has been joined. After that period, fees for the current subscription year are non-refundable, but you may cancel to prevent any further renewal.

Cancelling a subscription

Recurring subscriptions may be cancelled at any time from your subscriber portal or by writing to us. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid subscription period shown on your certificate.

How to request a refund

Email your order reference and the reason for the request to admin.books@oubas.press for book purchases, or admin.aap@oubas.press for an AAP subscription. We acknowledge requests within 2 business days and decide within 10 business days. Approved refunds are issued by OUBAS Institute and returned to the original payment method, normally within 5–10 business days.

Chargebacks and disputes

Please contact us before raising a dispute with your bank — most matters are resolved faster directly. Quote your order or EFT reference when you contact us.

Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits any right you may have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or other applicable law.
